Which Training Style Fits You? Honest Comparisons

Most "X versus Y" fitness articles are a sales pitch wearing a lab coat. These aren't. Each comparison below settles one genuine decision, names the cases where the other option wins outright, and hands you a framework instead of a verdict — because the right answer depends on your budget, your personality, and your week, none of which we know from here.

We wrote them anyway because choosing a training setup is mostly a matching problem. Matched well, almost any decent program works; matched badly, even an excellent one gets quit by March. Start with whichever question you're actually weighing — the big one for most people is small group versus one-on-one coaching.

Getting the most from a comparison

Read the "who should choose it" sections before the feature breakdowns; the features matter far less than the fit. And treat any comparison — ours included — as a hypothesis to test cheaply: a 15-minute studio tour or a single trial session will teach you more about fit than another hour of reading ever will.
