Straight Answers to Real Fitness Questions

"Is twice a week enough?" "Will lifting make me bulky?" "When does Grouse Grind season actually start?" This library exists because our coaching team fields questions like these all day at the studio — so we started writing the answers down properly.

Every page here takes one real question and answers it in the first two sentences, then explains the reasoning: short enough to read on the SeaBus, specific enough to act on tonight. Questions about the studio itself — hours, booking, what to bring — live on our studio FAQ instead, and the longer, plan-style material lives in the guides library.

How these answers are written

Three ground rules. First, honesty over marketing: where research is mixed or an effect is small, we say so rather than rounding up. Second, no medical claims — anything touching health conditions comes with a plain suggestion to check with a qualified professional. Third, qualified numbers only: we'd rather tell you "most beginners" than invent a percentage.

When an answer depends on your specific body, history, or schedule — and plenty do — the honest response is a conversation, not a paragraph. That's precisely what the free 15-minute tour is for: bring the question, and a coach will answer it about you rather than about people in general.
